what is embris gives thanks?

It all began with an idea. We wanted to find a way to celebrate our clients and show our gratitude to the people and partnerships that have helped Embris grow and find success in the water industry. This evolved into finding ways to express our gratitude to our friends as well, and eventually, the broader community. We use feedback from our employees and friends to choose organizations that are near and dear to our hearts. Each company has a mission that connects to someone in the company, and we share our stories and connections through Embris Gives Thanks. At our annual event, we make a financial contribution based on the votes of attendees to each chosen organization.

    From art and cooking classes to leadership opportunities and lifelong friendships, Adaptive Crossroads creates meaningful experiences that change lives. We’re excited to support their mission of fostering independence, inclusion, and community for individuals of all abilities.

    Adaptive Crossroads is an Omaha nonprofit creating opportunities for everyone of all ages and abilities, with a special focus on individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Through life skills, health and wellness, art, cooking, communication, social events, and community programs, our goal is pretty simple: give everyone a place to learn, grow, build friendships, try new things, and just be themselves. We believe everyone deserves opportunities to be included and connected within their community.

    Sometimes the best connections grow from a project. What began with a conversation about wetlands and aquaponics turned into a passion that has provided fresh food, hands-on learning, and lasting memories, making Whispering Roots a cause we're proud to support.

    Whispering Roots provides experiential learning to educate children and families on nutritious food options that taste good. By using a combination of Aquaculture, Aquaponics and Urban Agriculture to grow healthy food they are able to educate and feed families year-round.
